About eCS Clinic

eCS Clinic is a world-first, fully operational clinic with an endocannabinoid system-focused treatment model using cannabinoid therapies. With its headquarters based in Melbourne, eCS Clinic is expanding across Australia with a successful pharmacy partnership model. Patients are actively booking consultations via telehealth screening within partnered pharmacies and booking physical appointments at the clinic’s brick and mortar establishment in Bayswater, AU.

Through research, education, and evidence-based treatment, eCS Clinic has treated thousands of patients suffering from the various symptoms related to Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CEDS), coined by the world famous cannabinoid expert Dr. Ethan Russo.

eCS Clinic has put the concept of cannabinoid deficiency to test in Australia, providing patients with tailored therapies to treat an array of diseases manifested by an under-functioning endocannabinoid system. Many treatment results have been incredibly positive.

What is the ECS and CEDS

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a messaging system in your body (a series of chemical transmitters and receptors) that modulate just about every physiological function in your body. The ECS:

  • Regulates pain and inflammation pathways – in your joints and organs
  • Effects how you sleep and how you feel (emotions)
  • Regulates your appetite and metabolism
  • Effects your memory and thinking (cognition)
  • Regulates gastro-intestinal / gut function
  • Regulates the protection and development of nerves in your body

For different reasons, such as lifestyle triggers or genetic factors, the ECS can be under-functioning in many people, and this results in symptoms that often take years to develop. This is now known as Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CEDS). Symptoms of CEDS may include:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Gastro-intestinal and metabolism dysfunction
  • Nerve vulnerability and deterioration
  • Pain, Inflammation and Fibromyalgia
  • Memory, thinking and cognition problems
  • Insomnia and other sleep issues
  • A result of repetitive failed treatments

Real Help from Real People

eCS Clinic’s doctors and nurses are specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CEDS). CEDS is a relatively new medical discovery and most practitioners are not classically trained in this field. Our practitioners take time with each patient, providing in-depth consultations to properly understand their unique situation. CEDS can present in a broad symptomatology and each person will react in a unique way.

The clinic sets itself apart from typical cannabis clinics being fully medically focused, delivering tailored phytopharmaceuticals products and treatments that are personalized and unique to each patient. eCS Clinic does not prescribe dried flower product with the understanding that most drug delivery methods in this form are counter-intuitive to a patient’s overall health.

eCS Clinic offers an integrated approach to patients presenting with CEDS, through a biopsychosocial model and access to multidisciplinary CEDS specialists. Our CEDS program includes:

Medicine Regimen

Prescribed endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids are some of the most effective treatments to rebalance the ECS.

Exercise programs

Exercise will always match your comfort level and abilities, it has shown to boost and rebalance ECS functioning.

Psychological Support

Psychology deals with a large part of CEDS through neurophysiological treatment.

Referrals as required

We at eCS Clinic know that CEDS treatment may only be a part of the puzzle. Our team collaborates closely with each patient’s care team to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
