Melbourne, Vic – February 3rd, 2020 – Kensana Health is pleased to announce that its subsidiary PhytoGro Australia has been granted Major Project Status by the Morrison Government in Australia. Major Project Status is the Commonwealth Government’s recognition of the strategic significance of a project to Australia. It provides companies with extra support from the Major Projects Facilitation Agency, including a single entry point for Commonwealth Government approvals, project support and coordination, and help with state and territory approvals.

PhytoGro’s new facility has a projected capital expenditure of $140-Million and would create approximately 300 new ongoing jobs at full capacity. PhytoGro plans to manufacture and distribute cartridges filled with their own standardized plant compounds for the Syqe Inhaler made by Syqe Medical. The proposed 4.67 hectare facility will consist of 16 sealed medicinal cannabis growing chambers, cultivating 368,000 plants per year and will also contain enough space to manufacture the Syqe Cartridges for distribution to the Asia-Pacific region.
